The Center for a Just Transition serves as a hub for all aspects of a sustainable future and the restructuring of the Šaleška Valley—first and foremost for the people whose lives will be changed forever, whether they like it or not, by the valley’s decarbonization. A team of experts with a keen sense of compassion for their fellow human beings is resolutely and effectively working to ensure that their lives will be better from now on!

The SAŠA Center for Just Transition serves as the central hub for the region’s transition from traditional industry to a sustainable economy. Together with the Savinja-Šaleška Chamber of Commerce, it provides businesses with resources, expertise, and support to adapt to new market trends. The focus is on job protection, business transformation, and the inclusion of all stakeholders, ensuring a just transition for everyone.

We collaborated with the SAŠA Center for a Just Transition on activities that were demanding in terms of both content and organization, where expert support and a thorough understanding of the situation in the region were crucial. We particularly appreciate the open, respectful attitude of the staff and their willingness to engage in dialogue and seek common solutions.
