SAŠA Academy for a Just Transition
provides a comprehensive system of education, training, and support individuals, communities, and businesses in the SAŠA region.
It provides support in adapting to the changing energy and economic landscape with the aim of creating a flexible and sustainable future.
The academy’s goal is to spread new knowledge and encourage the growth of new industries and businesses in the region, which will create new high-quality jobs.
To strengthen competencies, we have developed programmes that are crucial for understanding and developing activities towards a just and green transition. The resulting competencies will significantly contribute to more effective use of EU funds and the implementation of green investment projects.
In addition to strengthening competencies, the Just Transition Academy also provides thematic workshops of an educational and awareness-raising nature, which will be of exceptional importance for the involvement of the population and other stakeholders who are not directly linked to European Just Transition Fund resources and do not require specific knowledge. They need to be provided with information about the green transition and, above all, given access to workshops to improve their well-being, which is a prerequisite for the prosperity of society.

(retraining of workers affected by the closure of coal mining operations, protection of public health)

(sustainable business development, optimization of management efficiency, energy and raw material use, expertise in accessing EU Just Transition funds and project design, etc.)
