We have prepared free training for managers of energy projects for the just transition, which will provide comprehensive support to all stakeholders in all phases of obtaining a permit, until the completion of the investment or final connection to the grid.

Participants will be trained to guide applications for permits and other documents and to assist applicants throughout the entire process, from the submission of the application to the issuance of the decision on the application for investment in RES and CHP (combined heat and power).

Day 4, Wednesday, 13 November 2024: 9:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

PROGRAMME

The training programme consists of 5 sessions in the form of theoretical and practical training. Each session lasts 5 academic hours. In total, this amounts to 25 academic hours of theoretical and practical training.

  • Coordinating applications for permits and other documents for the construction of RES and EE systems.
  • Coordinating the process for allocating funds for co-financing RES and EE under the support scheme established by law (Act on the Promotion of Renewable Energy Sources).
  • Participating in investment projects.
  • Preparation of substantive, administrative, and financial project applications.

WHO IS THE TRAINING INTENDED FOR?

  • Second-cycle university graduates with at least 1 year of work experience in the field of RES and EE or
  • first-cycle university graduates with at least 3 years of work experience in the field of RES and EE or
  • higher vocational education graduates with at least 5 years of work experience in the field of RES and EE.

Preference will be given to employees of companies or public institutions in the SAŠA region and employees of companies whose purpose is to develop business within the SAŠA region.

LECTURERS

Cvetko Fendre, BSc in Electrical Engineering. He is the author of several innovations, primarily in the field of peak power control in steelworks, and spent two years working on the introduction of computer-controlled production in steelworks. In 1996, he joined the Velenje School Centre, where he has been teaching control and regulation systems, computer-controlled processes, technical regulations and design, and mechatronics at the Higher Technical School for Electronics, Informatics and Mechatronics since 1997. In addition to teaching, he is primarily involved in energy management in public sector buildings.

Nejc Avguštin, BSc in Civil Engineering. During his studies, he focused on the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, and also graduated in this field. He gained practical experience in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources as a student at EUTRIP, d.o.o., where he has also been employed since 2015. He has been working in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources for more than 10 years, and during this time he has participated in the preparation and implementation of more than 100 energy renovation and new construction projects. He is distinguished by his experience and knowledge gained through the preparation of extended energy audits, building physics calculations, PHPP calculations, LCA and LCCA calculations, and the preparation of various reports and studies in the field of energy efficiency.

Dr. Franjo Pranjić. He graduated from a higher education professional study programme and a second-cycle master’s study programme at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics at the University of Maribor and the Faculty of Energy in Maribor. In the same year, he enrolled in a doctoral study programme in Energy. In 2011, he was employed at the Faculty of Energy, first as a researcher and then as an assistant, where he assists in the following courses: System Management, Electrical and Electronic Technologies, Measurement Technology in Energy, Systems Engineering, Protection and Control Systems, and Operation of Electrical Power Systems. He has participated in several EU projects in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.

Radovan Repnik. He gained experience in heating technology while designing mechanical installations for residential and commercial buildings. As he is interested in heat pumps, he undertook additional training in this field as part of the INSTALL+RES project on heat pumps and the use of biomass for heating. He has also gained some useful experience as a long-term user of air/water heat pumps.

Matjaž Kovač, M.A. He is an expert in public procurement, commercial law, and taxation, and a prolific author in these fields. He manages the most demanding public procurement procedures in the field of railway infrastructure in the Republic of Slovenia. He is also a university lecturer in commercial law and director of the consulting company LEKSIAKOV, pravne, poslovne, finančne in davčne storitve d.o.o.

Urška Ošljak is the head of development at CresCo, a development opportunities company, secretary general of TERIS, and project expert at the University of Maribor, where she lectures on project management for development projects and programmes. Her lectures are based on 19 years of practical experience in successfully drawing on European funds and various forms of financing for public and private sector operations.

Dr. Franc Vidic is an advisor and mentor to numerous individuals and companies in the field of entrepreneurship and marketing. He has participated in the launch and development of several companies. One such project is GEA College. Together with his colleagues, he tackled the problem of how to fill a gap in the market, create appropriate content, and successfully place it on the market. Throughout his career (as a geologist, director, CEO, and principal of a technical college), he has supervised, planned, and carried out various tasks: at RUŽV, his work was related to uranium mining, while at GEA College, OZS, and GZS, it was primarily focused on training entrepreneurs for their business development.
