In cooperation with the NOVUS Association for the Development of Human Resources and Social Programmes, we invite you to a consultation entitled New Path, New Opportunities in the SAŠA Region.
NEW DATE! The event will take place on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at 11:45 a.m., at Gaudeamus, Trg mladosti 7, Velenje.
The SAŠA region is undergoing a period of intensive restructuring, which brings both challenges and new development opportunities. The consultation will present the draft Act on the Development Restructuring of the SAŠA Region, key restructuring projects, and opportunities for free formal and informal education programmes that enable residents and employees to acquire new skills for the future.
The event will also be attended by employees and trade union representatives, who will give their views on current developments in the region and share their experiences of changes on the ground. The consultation will combine information and open discussion, in which participants will be able to express their opinions and challenges and make proposals for a just development of the region.
Objectives of the consultation
Presentation of the draft Act on the Development Restructuring of the SAŠA Region;
Information on approved and planned restructuring projects;
Information on opportunities for free formal and informal education programmes in the region;
Gathering experiences and views on changes in the community;
Identification of challenges in the areas of services, mobility, and inclusion;
Co-creation of proposals for a fair development of the region;
Strengthening the sense of being heard, included, and jointly shaping the future.
The activities of the SAŠA Centre for Just Transition are fully funded by technical assistance from the Just Transition Fund.
