The Ministry of Education and Science is announcing a public call for proposals, co-financed by the Ministry and the European Union from the Just Transition Fund. The public call for proposals is being implemented within the framework of the European Cohesion Policy Programme for the period 2021-2027, Policy Objective 6: Europe for a Just Transition, Priority 10: Restructuring of Coal Regions, Specific Objective JSO8.1: Just Transition Fund.

Subject of the public call

The subject of the public call is the co-financing of activities for the development, enrichment, and strengthening of digital, entrepreneurial, and sustainable (green) competencies with an emphasis on career orientation and the introduction of circular content (in accordance with the objectives of education and training for sustainable development – VITR) into the education and training system.

Purpose of the public call

The purpose of the public call is to contribute to improving the quality, inclusion, and effectiveness of education and training in order to reduce the mismatch between the knowledge and skills acquired by young people during their education and the needs of the labour market by developing, enriching and strengthening digital, entrepreneurial and sustainable (green) competences in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, primary schools with adapted programmes, and institutions for the education and training of children and young people with special needs, with an emphasis on career guidance and circular content in the Savinjska-Šaleška region.

To achieve this goal, it is essential that professional and administrative staff are first equipped with entrepreneurial, digital, and sustainable (green) competencies through innovative training methods, teaching methods, and tools. Competencies need to be integrated transversally into the school environment, as the transfer of competencies will only be effective in the long term if it is comprehensive and not just partial. With new models and approaches, we want to equip children, pupils, and students with new knowledge and skills and provide them with as much practical experience as possible. At the same time, we want to teach them how to use the knowledge they have acquired and how to act proactively and on their own initiative in everyday life. This will ensure that, after completing their education, learners are better equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to enter the labour market more effectively as independent individuals. They will also be guaranteed a more flexible transition between education and the environment, while at the same time accelerating the restructuring of the region.

Objective of the public call

The objective of the public call is to develop and upgrade existing didactic approaches, teaching and learning strategies by integrating good practices in the field of developing and strengthening digital, entrepreneurial and sustainable (green) competences, with an emphasis on career orientation and circular content, by ensuring a whole-school approach in educational institutions in the Savinjska-Šaleška region, thereby enriching the learning process. In this regard, it is important to actively involve professional and administrative staff and to establish a professional learning community.

The target group of the public call is children, pupils, students, and educational institutions in the Savinjska-Šaleška region.

Who can participate?

Legal entities under public or private law with their registered office in the Savinjska-Šaleška region, which are entered in the register of providers of publicly valid education and training programmes on the date of submission of the application, may apply for the public tender as consortium partners (including the manager).
