Description of duties and tasks:
- Implementation of activities within the framework of the “Centre for Just Transition” project;
- Monitoring, studying and preparing more demanding strategic documents and programmes;
- Coordination of local partnerships, networking for the purposes of project or operation implementation and capacity building of stakeholders;
- Coordination of training, support environment, and development planning;
- Preparation and evaluation of action plans;
- Management, support, and implementation of administrative, technical, and financial management of projects (support in the development of project ideas, preparation of applications, investment documentation, etc.);
- Management, coordination, and financial monitoring of complex national and international projects;
- Project management (separate project accounting, electronic archiving of valid project documentation in preparation and implementation, etc.);
- Implementation of information point activities and ensuring the implementation of information and communication measures;
- Active participation in networks, platforms, associations, conferences, workshops, etc., both in Slovenia and internationally, with the aim of following trends in the field of just transition;
- Identification of needs in the region, proactive alignment with just transition guidelines, and participation in the strategic orientation of projects;
- Participation in the planning, orientation, coordination, and implementation of projects;
- Active cooperation with intermediary bodies and managing authorities;
- Cooperation with managing authorities in activities at the regional level to ensure partnership (young people, non-governmental organisations, social partners, the economy, representatives of local communities, institutes and others);
- Reporting and negotiating with partners in demanding national and international projects;
- Monitoring calls for proposals and information on EU and Slovenian programmes;
- Participation in the preparation of amendments or additions to the regional plan for the just transition, monitoring implementation, and reporting to management bodies;
- Performing professional, administrative, and technical tasks for regional authorities;
- Other tasks as instructed by the supervisor.
For candidates applying for the position, the following is desirable:
- At least 6/2 level of education according to the Regulation on the introduction and use of the classification system of education and training: at least 1st Bologna level or higher education professional programmes (previous) or specialisation according to higher education programmes (previous);
- Knowledge of human resources;
- Knowledge of the just transition;
- Knowledge of project work (application, management, and reporting of projects co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union);
- At least 3 years of work experience in a comparable position;
- Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills;
- Curiosity, willingness and ability to learn quickly;
- Excellent knowledge of English and good knowledge of at least one other EU language;
- Category B driving licence;
- Own transport;
- Personal neatness;
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PP, etc.), social networks, and the internet;
- Independence, self-initiative, ability to network effectively, and goal orientation.
The work is dynamic and requires constant adaptation to changes in regulations and monitoring of new developments in the field of work, so candidates are expected to be proactive and take the initiative in performing their tasks.
Preference will be given to candidates with proven references in a larger number of the required fields.
We expect candidates to perform their work tasks professionally, in a timely manner, to a high standard, and on their own initiative. They should be independent, able to work in a team, have well-developed organisational skills, be communicative, possess good general knowledge, have a positive approach to tasks and self-directed learning in the workplace, and would find the work challenging and enjoyable.
Candidates are also expected to be familiar with the use of various communication channels (social networks, websites, etc.) and the use of general information tools for preparing documents, data, and analyses, as well as tools for working with databases, and the ability to participate in various professional and project groups.
The employment contract will be concluded for an indefinite period with a 6-month probationary period.
The employment is financed from the technical assistance funds of the Just Transition Fund.
