The purpose of the public call is to encourage investment in energy efficiency measures and decarbonisation in industry, thereby achieving savings in energy consumption and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The aim of the public call is to support at least 22 projects by companies focusing on:

• Investments in energy efficiency in industry, including investments in the energy efficiency of industrial buildings, the effects of which will be measurable in terms of final energy savings (e.g., installation of efficient electric motor drives, control and regulation equipment, introduction of energy management systems, replacement of production equipment and machinery for more energy-efficient operation, improvement of heating and cooling systems, lighting, insulation, etc.); and/or
• Investments in decarbonisation or reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from industrial activities through diversification of energy sources, which means electrification of production processes, the introduction and use of renewable energy sources and/or the use of new technological solutions applicable in the production processes of the supported company (e.g., renewable hydrogen), the effects of which will be measurable in terms of the reduction of GHG emissions and the reduction of fossil fuel consumption in primary energy; and/or
• Investments in electrical and/or thermal energy storage facilities, the effects of which will be measurable in terms of the installed capacity (MW) and storage capacity (MWh) of the facilities.

The subject of the public call is the co-financing of the costs of implementing investment projects by companies with the aim of energy efficiency and decarbonisation in industry to accelerate the green transition and increase resilience.
