Three screens with content on just transition in the SAŠA region

In November 2025, the Development Agency, in cooperation with an external contractor, installed video screens in the municipalities of the narrower coal-mining area of the SAŠA region. These screens will serve as a communication channel for the content of the SAŠA Just Transition Centre and local communities. Through these video screens, we will be able to quickly, efficiently, and attractively inform citizens and visitors in the municipalities of the narrower area (Velenje, Šoštanj, and Šmartno ob Paki). In Velenje, the screen is located by the side entrance to the Red Hall; in Šmartno ob Paki, by the entrance to the meeting hall; and in Šoštanj, in the display window of the covered market.

Location and content

Currently, the screens display a digitized version of the exhibition on just transition and presentations of approved projects that are co-financed by the Just Transition Fund and are already underway (Old Power Plant – Centre of the Future, Velenje Technology Park – Techub, Chemical Institute, Renovation of the District Heating System, Pesje – EAST Business Zone, and RE:SAŠA – New Direction in Education).
